Glorya Jean Tate Park Improvements
Glorya Jean Tate Park is a hub for both fitness and play!
After adopting a Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan and gathering input from local families, the City began a phased renovation of the 1.85-acre park. Wallace Group is proud to support this work with construction management services that help deliver on this vision and create a space for the community to enjoy for decades to come.
included accessibility upgrades to the restroom facility. Phase 2 involves the demolition of the existing accessible parking stalls, fencing, irrigation, landscaping, and hardscaping. The site improvements include earthwork and grading, concrete paving, asphalt paving, drainage, site furnishings, signage, irrigation, and landscaping. The original turf grass was replaced with the pump track, and native plants were introduced to reduce water usage. A dog park, fitness area, pickleball courts and new playground equipment round out these renovations!
Wallace Group performed project management through the design, bidding, and into the construction phase. To give the City flexibility with budget and timing, five bid alternates were included during design. Wallace Group’s team continues to provide construction management services and on-site construction inspection through the various phases and looks forward to sharing this modernized recreational space as construction concludes.
