San Luis Obispo County Airport Landscape
Project Description:
Delivered site-sensitive design and vision to serve guests and residents alike. The new 56,000 sq. ft. facility includes the unique experience of an outdoor, post-security waiting area. The rhythm of nine boulders match the cadence of the region’s iconic Morros which welcome planes and the prevailing winds from Morro Bay to San Luis Obispo. Coastal themed plantings lead to “agricultural” paving stripes and lavender in tidy rows. Blue sweeps of custom concrete connects the main building to the terminal like creeks to the sea. From critical survey work to engaged and responsive landscape architectural services, Wallace Group is honored to be part of the design team for this critical component of our local infrastructure.
