Hart Memorial Park

Hart Park is one of Kern County’s oldest parks. Situated on the Kern River offering swimming and wading opportunities in the warm months and featuring miles of equestrian, hiking and biking trails, this historic park is a treasure for the community. Nestled in the center of the park, the County desired to add two all-abilities age-specific playgrounds, splash pad, new restroom with outdoor shower, and a small ADA parking lot, drawing design inspiration from the rock and water features of the Kern River. Wallace Group coordinated with the County and stakeholders to develop a conceptual design and then led the team during the production of construction documents.

Wallace Group worked on Phase I services, which were focused on development of the Concept Master Plan and the Preliminary Statements of Probable Construction Costs. This better enabled the County to make informed decisions on scale and scope of final implementation and to apply for State funding opportunities.

Wallace Group finalized the construction documents (PS&Es) in August 2023.
