Front Street Improvements
Wallace Group provided construction management and inspection services for the City of Soledad’s Front Street Improvement Project in the City’s downtown core. The project included the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and driveways in various areas along Front St. and Moranda Rd. Accessible ramps within the project limits are being replaced and upgraded to current standards. Monterey Peninsula Engineers (MPE) replaced utilizing a 2-inch grind and overlay, and re-striped to promote multimodal use. Six new streetlights were installed and over 70 LED retrofit kits were installed on existing light poles. Three signalized intersections were upgraded with video detection cameras and associated cabinet equipment. An overall landscaping refresh was performed including new trees, plants, irrigation, and new conduits for future tree lighting.
Due to the project occurring in the downtown core, Wallace Group assisted with extensive project outreach and coordination with business owners to communicate project impacts.
For the Front Street project we used Procore project management software to manage all documentation for this project. Procore stores and track all project plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, inspection reports, photos, and all other project related documents in a single location that easy to use and available to the entire project team.
