Avila Beach Drive Updates

In June The County of San Luis Obispo achieved the Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) milestone for the US 101/Avila Beach Drive interchange improvement project. The proposed roundabout, park-and-ride, and other interchange improvements will meet the project purpose and need by improving traffic operations and multimodal access.

This was truly a team effort. Many thanks to Caltrans District 5 and SLOCOG for their oversight and input and to our team members: Kittelson & Associates, Yeh & Associates, Mark Thomas & Company, Central Coast Transportation Consulting, Rincon Consulting, and Y&C Transportation. We are looking forward to kicking off the design phase later this year.
