Insight Studio Tour

During the Insight Studio Tour organized by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, Wallace Group's CEO Brad Brechwald, Senior Engineer Greg Hulburd, and BD Manager Chris Gardner traveled to Santa Barbara to learn about the realities of implementing a regional desalination plant. Together with local representatives from the City and County public works departments we were hosted by the City of Santa Barbara’s Mayor and water resources personnel. Given our community's rural nature, we recognize our vulnerability to significant disruptions in utility services, such as droughts, blackouts, or natural disasters. Strengthening water and power infrastructure became a crucial consideration in our sustainability efforts. Throughout our conversations, desalination served as the primary backdrop, guiding our exploration and discussions. Thank you, City of Santa Barbara.
