Railroad Safety Trail ASCE Region 9 Winner!

The award “recognizes projects whose primary focus is improvement of or implementation of new bikeways and/or multi-use trails (pedestrians and bicycles) that improve and promote community connectivity and encourage non-motorized transportation”. Wallace Group contracted directly to the City for the project mapping. Clayton Bradshaw and Mark Madonna contributed as project surveyors, George Marchenko, Nick Sine contributed large efforts to the project. This was the first project that the survey team used terrestrial based remote sensing technology to remove field crews from the busy roadways and railroad tracks that the project was adjacent to and crossed. We used terrestrial captured photography for the modeling and mapping of almost all of California Street within the mapping limits.
